Duplicate Transaction Prevention

Duplicate Transaction Prevention

Monek’s systems are set to fail duplicate transactions occurring within a set time period of 5 minutes.  This is an effective way to prevent the majority of user generated duplications.

There are occasions where the device or browser may refresh the page without prompting for authorisation or, where the user resubmits the information unwittingly and, as the device may retain the card details, these are submitted anew and processed as such.  This can occur minutes, hours, days or even weeks after the initial transaction was placed (this issue is often seen to affect Apple devices, such as iPhones and iPads).

Along with this article is a htmlgood.html file that can be used to prevent this issue occurring by redirecting the user to your chosen URL following successful payment.

To do so, simply edit the provided htmlgood.html file – replace http://www.example.com/ and http://www.javascript.com with the URL of the page to redirect to and upload htmlgood.html to file manager.
